This 4500 Hampton Series Dowel Top Post is 3" x 43". It is typically used in Over-The-Post bannisters almost everywhere except at an intermediate landing of an "L" shaped stair or under a starting easing with cap when a starter step is not used. It handrail fittings to accommodate it.
