Acceptance of our Terms

By visiting the website WoodStairs.com, viewing, accessing or otherwise using any of the services or information created, collected, compiled or submitted to WoodStairs.com, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions of Service. If you do not want to be bound by our Terms your only option is not to visit, view or otherwise use the services of WoodStairs.com. You understand, agree and acknowledge that these Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WoodStairs.com and that your use of WoodStairs.com shall indicate your conclusive acceptance of this agreement. This includes any correspondence or orders placed through email, telephone, fax or any other means that were initiated through WoodStairs.com.

These Terms and Conditions May Change

WoodStairs.com reserves the right to modify these Terms from time to time at our sole discretion and without any notice. Changes to our Terms become effective on the date they are posted and your continued use of WoodStairs.com after any changes to Terms will signify your agreement to be bound by them.

Submitted Content

When you submit content to WoodStairs.com you simultaneously grant WoodStairs.com an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty free license to publish, display, modify, distribute and syndicate your content worldwide. You confirm and warrant that you have the required authority to grant the above license to WoodStairs.com.

Payments

  • Credit card will be charged at the time of order.
  • Credits will be made to the credit card used to make the purchase.
  • Your credit card number is not stored on our system.

WoodStairs.com is not responsible for installation, installation delays, installation difficulties or injuries resulting from stair parts or tools, and will not compensate for any of the above.

Change Orders

  • It is the customers sole responsibility to insure the accuracy of the products in their cart including but not limited to components, options such as plows and fluting, wood species, iron powder coat, etc. prior to submitting the order.
  • Once the order has been submitted, all products will be manufactured and shipped as ordered. 
  • Woodstairs.com may consider Change Order Requests received in writing within 2 business days from the submission of the original order or prior to the start of any millwork, whichever occurs first.  Within this timeframe, authorization of Change Order Requests will be made at the sole discretion of WoodStairs.com.
  • If WoodStairs.com does approve a Change Order Request, we will notify the customer by email within 2 business days.
    • Approved Requests will include a Change Order generated by WoodStairs.com which will include includes the revised product names and descriptions as requested, and will reflect all changes to pricing, taxes, shipping costs or other fees.
    • The customer must then agree to the Change Order in a reply email which includes the Change Order attachment.
    • Additional charges or credits must be processed before proceeding with any approved Change Order.  WoodStairs.com does not keep Credit Card information on file so price changes resulting from approved Change Orders will require a credit card to bill or credit the difference from the original order.
    • If Customer should refuse the Change Order from WoodStairs.com, revisions may be made for up to 10 business days.  If no agreement can be reached the order will be sent as originally ordered.
    • Delivery dates may vary as a result of Change Orders.  WoodStairs.com will not be held accountable for any delays as result of Change Orders.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations will not be accepted after order has been acknowledged by WoodStairs.com.
  • All accepted cancellations will be assessed a 15% credit card cancellation fee.

Returns

  • For defective and/or wrong products call and email pictures within 72 hours of receipt of shipment.
  • Anything after this time frame will not be considered for exchange. We will repair or replace damaged products at our discretion.

Wood Product Returns

  • Most of our wood products are custom built for you and are therefore not returnable.  However, stock items in sellable condition may be returned for a 30% restocking fee plus freight charges at our sole discretion.
  • Opened products that have been approved to be returned by WoodStairs.com must be repackaged in such a way that it is not damaged during the return transit.
  • A return authorization must first be requested from WoodStairs.com within 60 days from time of shipment. Returns without a return authorization will be refused delivery and returned to you.
  • Credit will not be given to products returned after 60 days from time of original shipment.
  • WoodStairs.com reserves the right to determine final credit given based upon the above criteria.

Iron Product Returns

  • WoodStairs.com has a No Hassle policy regarding our iron products.
  • Iron returns are assessed a 30% restocking fee in addition to freight charges which are non-refundable.
  •  Product must be in new, sellable condition. Opened products must be packaged in such a manner to prevent damage during transit back to us.
  • A return authorization must first be requested from WoodStairs.com within 60 days from time of shipment. Returns without a return authorization will be refused delivery and returned to you.
  • Credit will not be given to products returned after 60 days from time of original shipment.
  • WoodStairs.com reserves the right to determine final credit given based upon the above criteria.

Refunds

Most of our wood products are custom built for you and are therefore not returnable for a refund. See our returns policy above for details.

Liability

The content on this site and provided by WoodStairs.com employees is for informational purposes only. WoodStairs.com’s Stair Specialists are available to assist you in in design, layout, take-offs and installation advice. However, the circumstances of your project are dependent on its physical layout and dimensions to which we have no access. Therefore, WoodStairs.com is not responsible for design, calculation, takeoffs, layout, installation, or code compliance of your project. Furthermore we are not responsible for installation delays, installation difficulties, damages to products caused during installation or injuries resulting from stair parts or tools and will not compensate for any aforementioned delays.

Shipping

  • Orders are shipped with FedEx or truck lines at WoodStairs.com’s discretion.
  • Orders with products over 8’ in length are shipped by truck lines and may incur additional shipping charges.
  • The average time in from when the product leaves our facilities to delivery is 3-5 days.
  • WoodStairs.com is not responsible for delays during transit.
  • The freight company is responsible for the time in transit for expedited shipping. WoodStairs.com is not responsible for any guarantees made by third party shipping companies.
  • Someone must be at the delivery site to accept truck deliveries. Truck lines require the receiver to unload the order from the truck. If you need assistance with getting the product off of the truck, please contact WoodStairs.com prior to shipping so that special arrangements can be made.

International Shipping Powered by Bongo International Checkout

We have partnered with Bongo International to service our international customers.

At checkout, choose your international destination from the country drop down menu. Once you select your country and attempt to checkout, you will be automatically transferred to Bongo's Secure International Checkout page where you will be provided with international shipping costs as well as duties and taxes for your shipment.

Upon completion of your order, Bongo will charge your credit card for the entire purchase and then re-purchase those items from our site on your behalf. We will ship the goods to Bongo's Global Distribution Facility and they will be forwarded to your international address.

Shipping Damages

  • It is WoodStairs.com objective to get you beautiful and undamaged balustrade components in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, accidents can happen during shipping. In order to insure the process as easy as possible for you to make a damaged goods claim, please follow these simple steps:
    1. Inspect all components and packaging before signing for receipt of shipment. If boxes are at all damaged, please notify the driver and make sure he/she documents it.
    2. Digitally photograph all damaged products and packaging. Email these images to WoodStairs.com within 72 hours of receipt of shipment. To insure receipt send only 2 picture attachments per email. Make sure you send both a close up and far away picture of each problem.
    3. A WoodStairs.com customer service representative will then contact you within one business day of receiving your email to assist with your claim.
    4. Please remember to keep all packaging!

Free Shipping

  • WoodStairs.com offers Free Shipping to the continental United States on orders totaling $1500.00 USD or more with shipping not to exceed 10% of the order total.  Customers will be required to pay the remainder for shipping rates greater than 10% of the order total.
  • Orders under $1500.00 USD are charged according to weight, location and size based on the appropriate shipping method. If your shipping address is in one of the few non-direct locations we will contact you promptly to make special arrangements.

Low Price Guarantee

  • Our Low Price Guarantee requires written proof of the availability of the identical product, for example, as advertised on public access websites.
  • The identical product must be available to the general public.
  • Our Low Price Guarantee is not valid on special pricing or pricing requiring a call-back or on pricing offered in e-mails that are not also advertised on public access websites, or otherwise available to the general public. Consolidator, group, incentive, and special discounted prices are excluded.
  • Our Low Price Guarantee is valid for identical products as advertised at the time of purchase.
  • Our Low Price Guarantee compares the TOTAL price of identical products including all fees, taxes and shipping.
  • The amount by which WoodStairs.com will beat a price may vary at our sole discretion.

Limited Lifetime Warranty

  • WoodStairs.com uses only the highest quality stair and balustrade components on the market today coupled with the finest craftsmen and state of the art manufacturing processes in our field.  For these reasons we guarantee our products against any defect in our material or workmanship for as long as you own your home as described below.  Should any such defect occur we will repair or replace the necessary components free of charge at our discretion.
  • Wood and iron have natural variations in color and pattern that enhance the uniqueness of the design and are not to be mistaken for defects.  It is the natural tendency of wood to expand and contract through changes in environmental heat and humidity.  These changes can cause unfinished wood products to change color, warp, and crack or otherwise deform.  Stain, paint and sealers provide a barrier that protects wood products from changes in moisture content thereby protecting them from such issues.  In order to insure your wood products do not experiences these issues it is highly recommended that all wood products are installed and sealed within 14 days

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. Tools, equipment, accessories and supplies are not included under the terms of this warranty and are covered by the manufacturers warranty if applicable.
  2. Warranties will be granted by WoodStairs.com at our sole discretion.  Warranties are issued to the original owner after verification that the products were correctly installed within 14 days of receipt.  This warranty covers only those items that were stained, painted and or sealed within 14 days of receipt.
    • Sealed products must be digitally photograph and emailed to CustomersFirst@WoodStairs.com within 14 days of receipt.
    • To insure receipt send only 2 picture attachments per email.
  3. If approved, a WoodStairs.com customer service representative will email your product Warranty within three business day of receiving your email.
  4. To file a claim, you must be the original purchaser, and provide your original approved Warranty and digital photos of the defective products.
    • A WoodStairs.com representative will contact you within 3 business of receipt of email days to assist with your claim.
    • WoodStairs.com reserves the right to have a third party inspect the alleged defect products prior to authorizing any repair or replacement.
  5. WoodStairs.com may require the defective product to be returned at our expense.
  6. Agreed replacement products will be shipped at the lowest priced shipping method and all shipping costs will be paid by WoodStairs.com
  7. WoodStairs.com is not liable for damages caused by installation, finish, or improper usage.
  8. WoodStairs.com is not liable for the natural durability of a particular medium or natural variations in color or grain.
  9. WoodStairs.com is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages or costs whatsoever; including but not limited to finish applied by other parties, installation, and removal or reinstallation damages or any indirect or consequential labor expenses, etc.
  10. WoodStairs.com is not responsible for any damages caused by or attributed to Acts of God, fire or water.
