Our Hollow Twist and Basket Series iron balusters are virtually identical in appearance to the solid versions. They are 1/2" square tube with a 1/2" doweled top for ease of installation. This series of balusters offers a great variety of design possibilities and are less expensive, lighter weight and easier to cut than the solid alternatives. The only drawback to Hollow balusters is that they are slightly more flexible than the Solid series. While there may be a little more movement in the balusters they are still plenty strong.
