Shoe rails are used for wood baluster installation on floor level or curb wall balustrades. Often they are set atop Shoe Plates, Landing Tread or Hardwood Floors. Wood balusters are set into the plow of the Shoe Rail with the spaces in between them filled with fillet. The fillet acts to appropriately space the balusters, secure them in place and provide a finished detail to the system. This makes installation easy and provides a clean finished look to the balustrade. Our Shoe Rails are available with two standard sized Plows to fit our balusters, 1 1/4" and 1 3/4". Of course we can custom manufacture Shoe Rails with any size Plow you may need. Give us a call if you need a custom profile and we will be happy to provide you with a free quote.
