Straight Landing Tread is used to finish the edge of a straight floor level or intermediate landing balustrade. Shoe Plate can also serve the same purpose but is also used to cap the top of curb walls or knee walls. Both of these options provide the base of the balustrade into which the balusters are secured. Additionally some of our customers add a Shoe Rail on top of the Shoe Plate or Landing Tread, for additional detail and ease of installation when using wood balusters.
