The LIH-HOL16044 Single Basket Baluster is the most ornate in this series incorporating Single Basket with Knuckles and Spoons above and below. It is often used as the central feature in a Gothic Series pattern. Our Gothic Series balusters are 9/16″ square by 44″ tall. They are Hollow iron with a hammered detail and a round, doweled top, for easy installation into our wood handrails. The hammered detail of these balusters create a more bold and detailed look than the plain square alternatives. While our Gothic Series works especially well in homes incorporating a European feel, it is a very versatile and used in a wide range of styles and designs. These hollow versions are lighter weight, less expensive and easier to cut. Each and every baluster is handmade, which means no two are exactly alike; the slight variations in the details add exceptional character to any stairway.
